TORO Integrate Server Edition, OS Installation Instructions

This page will be discussing how to install TORO Integrate Server Edition on macOS, Linux, and Windows.

Hardware and software requirements

Make sure to have TORO Integrate's prerequisites covered for seamless installation.

Coder

To create and manage integrations, you will need Coder in addition to TORO Integrate. Coder is TORO Integrate's integration IDE and is available as a desktop application or web application. The web application, Coder Cloud, is only available on the Cloud Edition. Meanwhile, the desktop application, Coder Studio, can be used with all editions of TORO Integrate.

Purchasing & Downloading the Server Edition

To use the Server Edition of TORO Integrate, you must subscribe to a Server Edition plan. To subscribe, do the following steps:

Purchasing a Server Edition plan

  1. Go to the TORO Marketplace website and log in. You will automatically be redirected to the Account Dashboard page.
  2. Click TORO Integrate from the menu on the left.
  3. Click Add Subscription.

  4. Select which plan you'd like to subscribe to and how you would like to pay for it (billing cycle is either annually or monthly). The Server Edition has three plans available: Branch, Corporate, and Enterprise.

  5. Once done, checkout.
  6. Provide your billing address and payment method.
  7. Read and agree to the terms of agreement and submit.
  8. You will be redirected to the downloads page. Download the installer which matches the operating system of your machine.

Fresh Installation

If you've never installed TORO Integrate before or would like to do a clean install of TORO Integrate, then follow the steps under the respective section of your machine's OS.

Admin user

For a smooth installation, make sure you are logged in as the admin/root user and have the necessary permission to install this application especially if you'd like to install TORO Integrate as a service.

To install TORO Integrate on your macOS machine, you must:

  1. Mount the downloaded TORO Integrate disk image file (TORO_Integrate_Server-3.x.x) by double clicking on it.
  2. Launch the installation wizard by double-clicking on TORO Integrate Installer, seen in the mounted folder.
  3. Choose the language that you'd like to use.
  4. Enter your credentials (if asked).
  5. Follow the installation procedures.

macOS installation procedures

And that's it, you have successfully installed TORO Integrate on your macOS machine. Double-click TORO Integrate from your dock or desktop (if you have chosen to create a shortcut) to launch the application.

To install TORO Integrate on your Linux machine, you must:

  1. Using a command-line application, cd into the directory where the TORO_Integrate_Server-[version]_unix64.sh shell executable file is located.
  2. Use the following command to open the setup wizard:

    sh TORO_Integrate_Server-[version]_unix64.sh -c
    
  3. Choose the language that you'd like to use.

  4. Enter your credentials (if asked).
  5. Follow the installation procedures.

Linux installation procedures

After following through the wizard's instructions, you should now have TORO Integrate successfully installed. If you're in UI mode, double click TORO Integrate from your chosen installation directory to launch the application. Otherwise, cd into your chosen installation directory then run TORO Integrate to launch the application.

To install TORO Integrate on your Windows machine, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the executable installer file to launch the TORO Integrate setup wizard.
  2. Confirm to run the installer (if asked).
  3. Choose the language that you'd like to use.
  4. Enter your credentials (if asked).
  5. Follow the installation procedures in the wizard.

Windows installation procedures

After successfully installing TORO Integrate, you can double-click TORO Integrate from your chosen installation directory or its desktop shortcut if you have chosen to create a shortcut to launch the application.

Updating an Existing Installation

To update an existing installation using the installer:

  1. Download the new version of the TORO Integrate installer for your operating system.
  2. Open the downloaded executable file and launch the TORO Integrate setup wizard using the same procedures described in the fresh installation instructions.
  3. After following the standard procedures, the installer will ask if you'd like to update the existing installation, pick yes and proceed as usual.

Updating an existing installation

Overwriting files

The wizard will ask you if you would like to have the following files be overwritten or not:

  • data/override.properties
  • data/remote-servers.properties
  • conf/toro-integrate.properties (prompt only appears if file has been modified)
  • conf/ESBGroovyCompilerConfig.groovy (prompt only appears if file has been modified)
  • conf/log4j.properties (prompt only appears if file has been modified)
