Step 2: Populate the fields

Populating the fields

  1. Specify the request URL and method.
  2. Set custom request headers (optional).
  3. The response body will be shown here upon successful request.
  4. Specify the array property that will be used by the chart. Leave it blank if the response body is an array.
  5. Add an additional property on your array objects (optional).
  6. Set the value of the additional property (optional). You can use the item property to reference your array objects. eg: Extra property label with the value item.name.toUpperCase() will change the data from:

    1
    2
    3
    4
    {
      "name": "http",
      "count": 32
    }

    to
    1
    2
    3
    4
    5
    {
      "name": "http",
      "count": 32,
      "label": "HTTP"
    }

  7. Specify the property that should be used for the y-axis. It's typical to use a property that has a numeric value in here.

  8. Specify the property that should be used for the x-axis. The x-axis is normally used for displaying the label of the respective item that is used for the y-axis.

Step 3: Customize

Give your new chart a name then pick a chart type and you're good to go. Click Generate Report to finish.
